Betty-Thon

I just sat through four episodes of Ugly Betty to catch up a bit on what I've missed.  You see, I kinda gave up no the girl when the show got too messy and convoluted, and then I heard she was going away.  I figured why mess around with someone you know is going to leave.  (Long story on where I learned that lesson, and I'm saving it for my book.)  But, the buzz has been so good lately, I had to go back for one last hurrah. 

Wow.  That's all I can say.  Tears running down my face, and with no tear ducts, that's quite a feat.  At first I thought they were bringing Henry back, and to that I say boo.  They didn't, thank the deities, and I don't have to hire a witch doctor to make anyone's nuts shrivel.  That gets costly, so everyone wins.

For me, the pinnacle was Justin's coming out story.  For four years we have watched this young boy struggle to be who he was and live with his head held high.  Something that at times still challenges me, I might add.  Bravo to the writers and actors for how it was handled.  Bra-vo!

For me, Hilda's wedding was so sweet and delicious they could have ended the the series with that.



However, there's one more episode to go.  I hope they sustain. I guess I will find out next week.
